C. Confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ into your heart.

We have learned that we are all sinners and that we cannot save ourselves through our own good works. We have also learned that salvation is God's gift, made possible through Jesus Christ.

But knowing about this gift is not the same as receiving it.

Romans 10:9

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,thou shalt be saved."

God offers salvation through Jesus Christ, but you must personally respond to Him in faith. You must believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead.

Salvation is not merely knowing that Jesus existed. It is not simply believing that He was a good man or a great teacher. Biblical faith means trusting in Jesus Christ and relying on Him as the One who can save you from your sin.

Think about receiving a gift.

Imagine that someone gives you a gift. The gift may have been paid for completely by the person who gave it to you. You did nothing to earn it, and you do not have to pay the giver back for it.

But if you refuse to take the gift, it does not become your possession. It remains a gift that was offered to you, but you have not received it.

In the same way, God has provided the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. You cannot earn this gift through good works or religious deeds. Christ has already paid the price.

But you must personally receive God's gift by faith.

You can hear the Gospel. You can understand the Gospel. You can even agree that the Gospel is true. But you must personally put your faith in Jesus Christ.

Have you personally received God's gift of salvation?

If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can turn to Him today. Believe in Him, confess Him as Lord, and trust Him completely for your salvation.

Salvation is not about what you can do for God. It is about trusting what Jesus Christ has already done for you.

Do not leave God's gift unopened.
