B. Believe that only Jesus Christ can save.

We have seen that all have sinned and that the wages of sin is death. But God has provided a way for us to be saved.

Romans 6:23b

"But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Eternal life is God's gift, and that gift is found inJesus Christ.

We cannot save ourselves from sin by trying to become a better person. Our good deeds cannot erase our sins, and our religious works cannot make us righteous before God.

Salvation is not something we earn. It is something God freely gives through Jesus Christ when we place our faith in Him.

Titus 3:5

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;"

Notice what the Bible says: "Not by works of righteousness which we have done."

We cannot earn salvation by doing good works. We cannot earn it by being religious, helping others, giving money, attending church, or trying to live a good life.

If salvation could be earned by our own works, we could take credit for it. But salvation is entirely according to God's mercy and grace.

The answer to our sin problem is not found in what wecan do for God, but in what Jesus Christ has already done for us.

Ephesians 2:8-9

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast."

The Bible teaches that we are saved by grace through faith. Salvation is God's gift. It is not something we can earn through good works.

We must put our faith in Jesus Christ—trusting Him as the only One who can save us from our sins.

Good works are important, but they are not the way we receive salvation. We do not do good works in order to be saved; rather, good works should follow as the fruit of a life that has been changed by God.

Jesus Christ is the answer to our sin problem.

You cannot save yourself. You cannot work your way into heaven. Salvation is by God's grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

The question now is: How can you receive this gift of salvation?
